Overview

Swap the viewpoints for the water. After the fast boat from Sanur, you join a snorkel boat that takes you along Nusa Penida’s coast to four of its best spots.

The highlight is Manta Bay, where reef manta rays come to feed and get cleaned, often just below the surface. Your crew films you with a GoPro, so you can stay in the moment.

Manta Bay

Reef manta rays with wingspans of three metres or more glide below you. Sightings are very common, but they are wild animals and never guaranteed.

Wall Bay

A coral wall dropping into the blue, busy with reef fish.

Gamat Bay

Calm, clear water over healthy coral: a great spot for beginners.

Crystal Bay

Clear water, coral gardens and a beautiful beach backdrop.

Good To Know

You don’t need to be a strong swimmer: life jackets are provided and the crew stays with you.
Use reef-safe sunscreen and never touch the mantas or the coral.
The sea can be rough at Manta Bay; the crew may change the order of the stops for safety.
Take a motion-sickness tablet if you are sensitive on boats.
