Overview

The east coast is where Nusa Penida feels untouched: quieter roads, rolling hills and some of the prettiest beaches in Indonesia.

You’ll stop at the grassy Bukit Teletubbies hills, take the carved stairs down to Diamond Beach, look over Atuh Beach and the Raja Lima islands, and visit the famous tree house on the cliff. Entrance fees at Diamond Beach and the Tree House are included.

Good To Know

The stairs down to Diamond Beach are steep with a rope handrail: about 10 minutes each way.
Bring swimwear, a small towel, sunscreen, a hat and some cash for drinks, toilets and snacks.
Nusa Penida roads are narrow and bumpy, and the boat can be choppy. Take a motion-sickness tablet if you need one.
Not recommended for pregnant travellers or anyone with back or heart problems.
